@aangdaily I honestly think the tattoos and the entire tone shift of the show is why the Avatar State looks so much more cooler when Aang does it. Almost every time Aang went into the avatar State some cool or creepy music would play and that’s what Korra’s show was missing when she did it.

The worst writing decision they made in recent stories was reducing the Avatar State to just a power-up. What made it compelling before was how it felt like a terrifying possession overtaking the Avatar’s body, not something you’d pop out after every minor inconvenience
