When the state invests public money in education, that investment should translate into service for the people. The doctor-to-patient ratio in Balochistan is around 1 doctor per 2,000 people, worse than the national average. While the WHO recommends 1 doctor per 1,000 people, showing how serious the healthcare gap is, and that is because doctors educated through state resources do not serve in the areas where they are most needed.
And then we have people like Dr Mahrang Baloch, who benefited from the same system, using their position to support terrorism instead of serving people.
So the real question is: Do we need more seats, or stronger accountability for those who benefit from public resources?

And now the state is troubled by the question of why a Baloch wants to study. We have said this before, and I say it again today: We are not less than anyone in any field. We only ask that the same platform be provided to us that has been given to others. Throughout Punjab, a program was running. A model was established under the name of Danish Schools. You friends would know how, in order to spread education, children are being taught there in such a remarkable manner that we can hold it up as an example even to Europeans. But in our Balochistan, there is not even a trace or name of such schools. Even today, there are schools that exist in name only, with no physical presence. Children sit under the shade of trees, in the corner of a wall, or in open fields to get an education. And I am proud of them for this reason too: that a young person sitting under that tree, in that shade, is today competing with the children of Danish Schools in Balochistan, and is proving to them that the soil of Balochistan is fertile and that its people lack nothing. If there is pain today, the pain is yours alone. Before, under the guise of 'security clearance,' our profiling was done and our mobile phones were checked. When any interview was conducted, instead of academic questions, we were asked: 'Which organization do you belong to? Which gun do you know how to operate?' And now that this tactic has also failed, fees have become the new weapon being used against us. Reserved seats have already been reduced over the past two to three years. This is how Baloch youth are harassed in educational institutions. There aren't any institutions left that are not militarised and used against Baloch." #ReleaseBYCLeaders #StopBalochGenocide

A promise fulfilled, bringing reliable public transport and essential services closer to people’s doorsteps. Turbat, the 2nd largest city of Balochistan, takes a major step forward in urban mobility with the launch of the Green Bus Service. Green Bus Project, which I proposed in 2024 for Turbat, has become a reality today. CM @PakSarfrazbugti inaugurated the mass transit service. The 18.4 km route from D-Baloch to Absar Road, with 4 buses and 18 stations, will serve around 4,500 passengers daily.
