@AlexBrundle Is this ‘guidance’ or regulation? Ie if a driver flouts it can they receive an immediate penalty (rather than warning)? Given the potential advantage just wondering how much drivers might be tempted to push the request to its limit.

A little gem from the F2 driver briefing notes: Bans weaving after 150m board before the final corner at restarts, effectively banning the 'late' restart this weekend? Not replicated in the F1 notes interestingly.

@tiff_tv @F1 Rather than ruin a great corner I wonder if more thought could be put into unmissable, urgent, immediate, early warning systems (lights/signals/directives/warnings) that could advise drivers barreling into Eau Rouge about a hazard hiding over the crest at Radillon?

Think all that is needed is a sharper left in the Eau Rouge section at the bottom of the hill which would then reduce speeds over the blind crest of Radillon - and at the same time provide @F1 cars with a challenge instead of a flat out curve!!

@OllieMillroy @VanthoorLaurens Exactly, hold the line. Although given the ramifications, I'm surprised there's not more use of in-car tech (cameras, sensors etc) in modern protos to help the driver judge when they're clear.

@VanthoorLaurens Yeh I’m sure it’s really hard to see. I’ve only driven a P2 car for filming on Gran Turismo recently and it was so hard to know where the other cars were. But then I guess the answer is to just hold the line until you’re certain that you’re clear 🤷‍♂️

IMO if a prototype chops up a GT in a braking zone & sticks them in the wall, it’s totally unforgivable & should never be seen as a ‘racing incident’. A 5min stop/go penalty would make them check their mirror before pulling back on line. It’s happening too regularly.
