@ollieburtonmed @chloe_shand You’d be fine re the radial artery - much more distal (crosses from volar to dorsal going across ASB marking the STT joint). The superficial radial nerve however is right there, makes it painful and can be injured!

@chloe_shand I've never cannulated it, I have a weird fear of hitting the radial artery that's probably unfounded

Do people go for the 'houseman's' vein often? I assume it got that name by being easy to access but I don't feel like I look for it more than any other

@DigitalRiverInc - you’ve taken a large sum from my bank account without authorisation. I assume you’ve put a default autorenew but it‘s not visible on your website. Feels deeply unethical.

Surgeon does op. Surgeon tells patient time off needed, get med3 from GP. GPs say no, ask surgeon to issue, as per contractual duty. Surgeon has secretary refuse to let GP speak to them, doesn't answer emails. Patient complains. About the GP practice, not the surgeon. WTF?

@pkonline84 @Richard_GP @HeedDoc In the time it took to tell you that (and admit they don’t know the demands/functional status of a patient having an MSK procedure) they could have done the note…..

@Richard_GP @pkonline84 @HeedDoc Nowadays (for us) it’s easier than a TTO - hand scribbled and not having to log into the most recent catastrophe du jour IT system.

Fascinating findings adding to Wilbrand et al. Would anybody start mentioning this as a treating clinician when discussing DD with patients? Patient could then address other risk factors?
