I’ll probably get “cancelled” again after saying this, but I have my own limits as well, and I’m done letting some of you spread hate and false rumours using pro boycotters’ name. 1. “They’re only boycotting OT6 ENHYPEN and not HEESEUNG’s solo.” First and foremost, we are NOT boycotting the group, the members, or any human being in question here. What we are doing is an economic boycott—a boycott where consumers reduce or stop spending on a company or brands until their demands are met. I am tired of you people confusing our boycott with a cultural boycott when we’ve been screaming that we are not doing that since D-1. Secondly, where is this “Heeseung’s solo” you keep mentioning? Where is the single, EP, album, instagram acc, or weverse acc that you want us to boycott so badly? Clearly, if it actually existed, OT6s and solo stans would be the loudest to hate on it. My point is, you can’t boycott something that doesn’t exist yet, can you? So stop trying to push the narrative that all pro-boycotters are his solo stans and that we’re setting up ENHYPEN. And fanbases preaching about how we are setting them up, promoting division and hate within the fandom—how is that not setting up ENHYPEN? Fanbases should be an example for fans, but the example you’ve been setting lately is very questionable. You’re doing everything except your job: supporting ENHYPEN, updating their milestones, speaking up against real antis who have been dragging the group and the members’ names, holding the company accountable for how they are managing the group, and addressing the hundreds of sasaengs harassing them daily. 2. After the post that fanbase made yesterday, I guess a lot of ageists saw an opportunity to come out of their shells and mock our age and maturity. Which is ironic considering the majority of us are adults—educated, with jobs and capable of thinking for ourselves. And since when was it normalised to shame and mock people for their age? Certainly not in my world. It’s embarrassing of you to shame and insult people for their age just because they have an opinion that opposes yours, and to belittle someone’s support and love for the group just because you think you’ve done more and that somehow puts you above others. Monetary support is NOT the only way to show support, the number of years you’ve been a fan does not give you the right to look down on others either! Is it really that hard to show respect when your beliefs and opinions don’t align with someone else’s? We have been civil in our conversations with anti boycotters and have never disrespected their views or threatened or harassed them for it. I have not seen fanbases who support the boycott promote the kind of behaviour you have been promoting, nor are they fear mongering. We are all trying to do what we think is best to support ENHYPEN, and promoting hate and division among ourselves will never help ENHYPEN or ENGENES. Do what you think is best for the group, and be respectful and kind to others who are also doing their best just like you.
