KNOWING what you have to do in order to succeed in content creation but debuffed with ADHD, OCD, and a mess of other spicy brain things that prevent you from doing it is a hell of a different kind.

Sorry if this post is messy and all over the place, I'm making it while at work 😅 I won't go too much into too much detail about my experience since it seems like most of the things I had issues with have already been brought up. But my previous model was with this studio and I did notice those same things such as the way their studio is ran with the tiers and getting a random artist unless you want to pay a hefty sum extra was very weird. I paid that extra fee to get the artist I wanted but in the end it didn't feel as high quality as the other models and it felt rushed. I also feel that if I was able to speak with the artist and rigger directly there would much less issue. The rigging I got also felt really off and some of the expressions I got would cause the model to break as certain parts would stop moving. Which was concerning since it felt like it was barely tested as the issue was very noticable and easy to recreate by just hitting one button. Anyways, the reason I'm making this post isn't to talk more specifically about this studio. There are plenty of posts already talking about them. I wanted to say that as an inexperienced VTuber I thought a lot of these things were normal as this was my first model and one of my first commisions so I didn't know much better. Because of my inexperience in this space, I made a lot of mistakes. I didn't question any of their methods. I didn't say anything when there were delays. I didn't complain when there were issues. I was too scared to say anything when I thought the model felt rushed even though there was delays. And in the end I was just happy to have my first ever Vtuber model and even left a 5 star review despite my less than satisfactory experience. It was only after working with my designer, artist, and rigger on my current model that I realized how bad my experience with the studio was. The ability to speak and connect to the people who make your model come alive is SO important. My advice to all upcoming and new Vtubers is not to make the same mistakes I did. These experiences are NOT normal and you should not be afraid to say so. A huge regret of mine out of all this is that I left a perfect review and even put in the review that I recommend the studio. Because of people like me who are too afraid to give less than 5 stars and talk bout their experiences, the studio remains very highly rated and a lot of new vtubers will likely keep choosing them.

how to connect with people for beginners as someone just getting into being human

sometimes i wonder if people think having shocking/damaging opinions is the best way to grow as a vtuber... maybe its quick, but you end up growing a community that thinks its ok to be harmful. super discouraging to see people in this space being openly r4cist/h0m0ph0bic/etc
