Lot of people talk down at sales reps who work at top tier companies. "Oh you're just an order taker." The point of being in sales is to make money. Not bragging rights of who has to sell the product that's the most difficult to sell. Ngmi if you think its 'cool' to sell a product that doesn't already kind of sell itself.

@HealthcareAIGuy So backwards. I've heard of case studies where doctors were able to find the right diagnoses with the help of Claude or ChatGPT.

The NY bill bans AI chatbots from giving legal or medical advice and allows users to sue. With a growing provider shortage & rising costs, we should be expanding access, not banning it. AI is the great equalizer to help people who can’t afford doctors/lawyers.

I have found that Claude Code is better at building complex software than simple landing pages. It's just not that good at making value proposition marketing content. Anyone have ideas on how to make Claude Code better at this?

That’s gonna last until next week when you discover context graphs, and then you're gonna be talking about how the systems of record will be disintermediated by an agentic layer and reposting OAI marketing graphics. “Well, as a matter of fact, I won't, because ultimately the application layer is just ….” The application layer is just business logic on top a CRUD database. You got that from Satya’s appearance on the BG2 pod, December 2024, right? Yeah, I saw that too. Were you gonna plagiarize the whole thing for us? Do you have any thoughts of your own on this matter? Or...is that your thing? You get into the replies of anyone posting a SaaS ticker. You watch some podcast and then pawn it off as your own idea just to impress some VCs and embarrass some anon who’s long SaaS? See the sad thing about a guy like you is in a couple years you're gonna start doing some thinking on your own and you're gonna come up with the fact that there are two certainties in life. One: don't do that. And two: you dropped thirty grand on Mac Minis and LLM API calls to come to the same conclusion you could’ve got for free by following a handful of VC accounts.

Immortality is attained by having children, leaving the world in a better place than you found it, and pushing the human frontier. Not by drinking “longevity mix powder”.

"Founder-led sales" is one of the biggest stupidities the world came up with. I keep seeing technical/product founders doing sales because their investors tell them "a founder needs to do sales in the beginning". Would you ask a non-tech founder to do coding and call it "Founder coding"? No. You should hire a high-energy, smart & entrepreneur-mentality GTM person to help asap. Founders should do customer calls to know the market and get feedback quickly but leave the negotiations to the experts. Anyone should be able to close some deals, but proper revenue & contracts come from people who are good & have a passion for sales.

Overheard in a San Francisco cafe “For us it’s hard to source deals, because we’re going so early - our sweet spot is $2 to $7 million ARR. Often we source our best deals from Family Offices.” Should I build a public database of family offices and how to get in touch?

@anshnanda You're not cooked, but it's a good practice to change up the chat regularly... once context gets too large, the quality of output really starts to decline
