California is projected to lose 15%+ of its student population while Florida may add 3.2% in the next 5 years. Seems bad for school districts, teachers unions, the electoral college, the financial viability of various child-focused services that I, as a mom, rely on for my kids!

The fake claim is that this is not the right way to do it, that these welfare payments are too regulated. The problem with UBI is that it is the same thing: welfare payments that will become regulated. It is my prediction that UBI would immediately be used to exterminate Republicans as soon as Marxists cheat into power again. They're already talking about it and quieting their words when they can. UBI would quickly morph into welfare for leftists only, and then Republicans wouldn't be allowed to work since "You can just accept UBI", and then that would morph into calling those who aren't allowed to get UBI and aren't allowed to work "haters", like they already do today, and used as an excuse to kill us.

@captive_dreamer We have a massive social welfare system in this country; we just diffuse it across a large number of programs, agencies, and levels. One (of the many) issues with UBI is that its proponents do not intend it as a substitute for the current system; they intend it as an add-on.
