Last week, our Nighthawks teens planned this month’s Free Family Day. Inspired by Edward Hopper’s use of light and our 55 x 2: Light exhibition, they created a tea-light house activity. Guided by Eleanor Kauffman & Angela Caramenich, they brought it to life. Join us in May! 👇🔗

Edward Hopper grew up in Nyack, where he rode his bike and walked the shoreline of the Hudson River with friends. This place shaped him. On display are his early sketchbook and pencil case though sometimes Hopper wasn’t painting at all. He was just learning how to see.
