Eula has been incarcerated since 1971—longer than any other woman in Michigan. She is now 82 years old. Women at Huron Valley are calling for clemency and offering a path forward.

@wflower2001 That looks about right. On a positive note, since the medical parole bill was amended, I believe 13 or 14 have been released.

Education in prison is expanding in Michigan. In the EMU unit, 2 women need wheelchairs. There’s only 1. This was weeks after a report flagged the issue. They take turns. One has diabetes and gets priority for meals. How do you learn like this? #MILEG bridgemi.com/michigan-gover…

“Education is one of the most effective anti-recidivism tools.” As Michigan looks at the FY27 budget, continued higher education in prison should be part of the conversation. It works. The data is clear. #MILEG #MDOC

Pt. 3 - The document I was required to sign clearly states paperwork copied is legible. I can just see this becoming an issue with severe consequences for inmates.”

Pt. 2 - I asked for those 20+/- pages to be copied over. The CO wanted to tell me that he could read most of it and would be able to figure out what it said. I told him that these documents are my freedom and I won't be taking chances on one word being mistaken!
