Tomorrow is our 1st day of training w/ our new Teachers. Students don't start until August 22, but tomorrow Ts get an intro to Schoology, PowerSchool, Google Suite, & our favorite apps. This way they have 2 months to explore/play/plan and meet w/ me when needed. #WeAreMarian

I was showing a TED Talk during our community hour. On the Ss registration form it said "TED Talk - Mr. Scanlon". I had a student who told me he was disappointed that it wasn't actually MY TedTalk. 🙁 At least I know what my homework is for next week.

@CalebPahl I'd like to do a Chicago History course for the students and maybe a cultural tour for teachers - give them specific local examples and resources for classes.

A3: I really want to teach some sort of elective course this summer. Not sure if that means for HS students or teachers. It may involve a series of Chicago field trips. #ditchbook
