St Shushanik Mamikonian (circa 440-475) is an Armenian martyr and saint of the Georgian Orthodox Church. The daughter of Armenian military commander(Sparapet) Vartan Mamikonian, Shushanik (Susanna) is the subject of the earliest existing literary work in Georgian.



The Symphony of Stones in Garni Gorge, Armenia, is a natural formation of perfectly shaped basalt columns that look like giant organ pipes. It was formed by cooling lava, creating geometric patterns that almost look man-made, but are entirely natural.
