You don’t hear much from happy people, because once you are living the life you want, you keep a low profile, you keep your life private.

Some of the best entrepreneurs I know aren’t the A grade students, they’re the B and the C students. They are the ones who managed to get through their education without having all the risk taking squeezed out of them. It’s unfortunate that in the rat race to get into the best colleges, and then to get into the best grad programs, we’re teaching people that the most important skill is to figure out what the teacher thinks will be the right answer, rather than to follow our own curiosity. But in entrepreneurship, there isn’t a “right answer”. You need to be willing to start down a path without knowing where it’s going.

Forced forgiveness is a toxic concept where people tell us to “just move on” or “you need to forgive.” Forced forgiveness implies that a person who’s experienced abuse, neglect, or pain should get over it and allow the person in their lives. When our boundaries are violated or people hurt us, feeling anger or needing to grieve is a natural response. Bypassing our emotions to please other people is a common response in society (especially when family is involved.) In reality, forgiveness is a personal journey. It’s not for anyone else to decide how we experience an event or a relationship we have with another adult.

It’s a wrap for soil heroes 2022! The joy of All those Teacher Appreciation bouquets never ends. Treating the worms in our compost room who will then make fertilizer to grow more flowers. Isn’t it amazing!

Kinder learned about bees 🐝 as pollinators last week. Today they learned to code BeeBot through the garden!

What a beautiful day at the garden @MabletonES we fixed 2 flower beds for our garden entrance, and we even found an old door knob covered in clay! It was also fun to teach students how to play kickball as well! @OutTeachEd @captainplanetfd

Between projects I do mini projects with something I call stem mad libs using the following sentence: Design a ___ for a ___ during a ___. Have students pick 6 words for each blank. Then roll a dice to pick the word and the design!
