Reducing what goes on in a boy’s head on his birthday to fake maturity is an evidence to how insensitive the other gender can be to a boy, many times even in relationships. For boys, a lot of expectations are attached to age While birthday is a call for studio photoshoot for some for many boys, new age is a reminder of the apartment of their own that they should have had It’s a reminder that they are getting too old to be where they’re financially, academically and relationship wise etc On a normal day a boy could just sit and start thinking of how to move forward in life, that thinking is more intense on a birthday So if they don’t send a picture of themselves as broadcast to all contacts on WhatsApp group for a repost, it’s not a flex They are grateful for life, but when they have something truly worth celebrating they won’t hold back It’s not fake maturity, we are usually on a date with reality and reality is not friendly.
Oyinda!💙@Oyindamola41269

Boys, this fake maturity on birthdays has to stop . Celebrate yourself you’re not a cockroach. Post yourself, let us wish you abeg.

The internet constantly tells women that men are terrible listeners because the second a woman starts venting about her day, the man immediately interrupts to offer a logical solution. We are taught to view this as him being dismissive, emotionally unintelligent, or invalidating our feelings. The strict, unpopular truth is that to a man, fixing the problem is his absolute highest, most desperate form of empathy. Women vent to connect; we want our partner to just sit in the dark with us and validate the emotion. But men are hardwired to view the woman they love being in distress as an active threat. When he immediately offers a spreadsheet, a strategy, or a solution to your problem, he isn't trying to silence you. His brain has recognized that something in the world is hurting his partner, and his immediate, visceral instinct is to assassinate the thing causing you pain. We constantly shame men for "not just listening," completely ignoring the fact that his attempt to fix your life is his most profound declaration of love.

What solo travel does to you that no therapy session ever could: - it shows you who you are when nobody who knows you is watching - you make decisions for yourself fully, completely, without consensus - discomfort in an unfamiliar place builds a confidence that comfort never can - you learn that most fear is geography ,it dissolves the moment you arrive - strangers tell you truths that friends are too careful to say - you stop needing plans and discover that the best moments were never on the itinerary - eating alone in a foreign city is the most underrated act of self-possession alive - getting lost is not a problem,it is the whole point - other cultures show you that everything you assumed was normal is just one option among thousands - silence in a new place sounds different,it asks better questions - you return home changed in ways you cannot explain to people who stayed - your tolerance for uncertainty expands permanently and uncertainty is everywhere - budget travel builds resourcefulness that money cannot buy - the version of you that boards the plane alone is never the same version that lands back home - you realise the life you were living was a choice and choices can be remade - the world is not dangerous,it is mostly people, eating, loving, and trying to get through the day

@BashirAhmaad We are living in an era where killings have become a norm and yet , the only arm of muscle you seem to be moving is about a “young foreigner” . You honestly can’t be a serious person.

This is a strong call on the relevant authorities to urgently look into the activities of this young foreigner, Alex Barbir, who has been moving around openly, spreading hate and attempting to incite violence against Nigerians of diverse backgrounds. The authorities should take swift and lawful steps to investigate, apprehend, where necessary and ensure accountability to safeguard peace, unity and public order.

How are you different from the women doing “my money is my money and his money is our money” who have chosen to be fundamentally useless to the family financially? You laid a foundation with this and I thought you were up to something. You said and I quote: “The UK isn't somewhere you will marry a girl who believes her money is her money and yours is for the family. Bills increases as your family increase. You need someone who wants to also contribute in building up her family.” How did you go from that to this? 👇🏽 “Immediately I got my Nursing job, I took up some direct debits. It doesn't have to be 50/50 at home just help out the little you can. Even if it's the least internet(wifi) bill or water bill or even gas and electricity. Leave the house rent and council tax and all that for him.” Why are you picking up little? If he’s paying rent and council tax, then what exactly are you paying for? What do you mean “even if it is the least (WiFi) or water bill.” WTF is WiFi bill? That is like someone paying £1500 in bills and you supporting with £30. Abeg Abeg Don’t lay a foundation you cannot support. You’re one and the same.
Oversabi Nurse 👩‍⚕️🇬🇧@AsidanyaMiracle

When I came to the UK newly, our water bill was updated(raised) cus then you have 2 people in the house. I wasn't really working, was just doing part time job while preparing for my OSCE so I wasn't contributing to the bills and my husband didn't mind but immediately I got my Nursing job, I took up some direct debits. It doesn't have to be 50/50 at home just help out the little you can. Even if it's the least internet(wifi) bill or water bill or even gas and electricity. Leave the house rent and council tax and all that for him.

If you’re in the UK and you earn £2,600 monthly and your partner earns £2,200 monthly, the family income is £4,800. Drop That Odogwu nonsense in your village. Take £2k and sort your bills. You can support your families and friends with £500. You give each other £400 each and invest the balance of £1500 monthly. You cannot have a working wife and all she is paying is water bill or WiFi. She is fundamentally useless. The whole point of 2 income household is that income from both parties sort family bills. We usually use UK for context so people can have sense, but this has nothing to do with location. It applies everywhere. If you earn N2m monthly and your partner earns N350k monthly, the family income is N2.350m, and the family bills would be sorted from there. Anyone who says “do something, no matter how small” is an evil person. Nobody who says that has any intention of doing anything substantial or meaningful. It is psychology. They are simply saying that doing something small is better than doing nothing and they expect you to be grateful they did something. A family runs on “we are in this together.” You cannot exclude money in togetherness because you want to be a selfish prick with no regard for family wholeness!
