This stray cat has adopted us, and I feel blessed. This is the 4th cat that we have taken care of. Sadly, the other 3 died, not sure how.... This female cat, I named her "Malli", a jasmine flower in Telugu. And I see her patiently waiting for me every morning at this same spot for me, to feed her. Sometimes she waits even upto an hour, feeds and then has a nap and leaves. Initially she was wary of me, now she allows me to stroke her..... Same with the stray dogs that I feed, initially wary of me, and slowly they relax and they allow us to pet them.... My kids have a way with stray animals too....they have this empathy for them. I am filled with gratitude to be able to feed and look after stray animals....dogs, cats, cows, squirrels, birds.....they need our support especially in urban areas.
