to better build in public, I made my new feed site to show more behind the scenes: craft26.vercel.app
double-click into a 3D coordinate to see how long each prototype took, when it was made, and how much is procedural vs keyframed 🎛️
work in progress still, just hit my opus limit 😬

@EqKick31468 honestly i just search up yt tutorials on certain things like "cavalry shape morph" and learn the app thru that + random experimentation

hmm i'm not too sure if it's all possible in Cavalry. personally i've just been using AE for a long time, so that's really why i'm using it. however, there are some animations (that maybe require a lot of small shapes & some procedurally generated movement) that are really difficult/tedious to do in AE, and I was happily surprised when i realized how easy they were to make in cavalry.
AE is basically a jack of all trades & more industry standard, while Cavalry is more powerful at certain types of animations (like ones that use math, etc), so if you're trying to choose between them, it kind of depends what you're trying to make

@igarakii @keepyourmotion Impressive work! Can you do all of them in cavalry? May I ask why did you do those in AE? Trying to choose one stack

@keepyourmotion thank you! a few of the procedural animations (like the pixel circle thing, the numbers, conway's game of life) was done in cavalry!
i exported them just as b&w assets into after effects & did the rest (coloring, transitions, timing, blurs, fluid stuff) there :)

@igarakii super clean. what parts did you do in Cavalry vs After Effects? curious about your workflow
