In case any of you are site build nerds (like me), here's how we built Zero to Nix:
🏝 Static site generation courtesy of the @ilesjs framework, which is based on @vite_js and @vuejs
🍰 @mdx_js components via @vuejs
🎨 CSS via @tailwindcss

@pierbover @lucperkins @astrodotbuild #override-routes" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">iles.pages.dev/guide/routing#…
QME

@lucperkins @astrodotbuild @ilesjs Totally agree.
I'm not a fan of file-based routing... but if you're doing that at the very least there should be a solution to decouple the filesystem from the URLs.
You'd think that would be a given for SSGs but apparently not.
I guess people don't care about URLs anymore?
English

Isn't there a way in @astrodotbuild to change the URL of a single page other than using the filesystem?
Like in Jekyll you can simply add a "permalink" value in the front matter:

English

@lucperkins @pierbover @astrodotbuild If it's important for your use case, feel free to provide a pull request implementing it.
English

@pierbover @astrodotbuild I was recently using @ilesjs and filed an issue because the framework doesn't support so-called pretty URLs (i.e. about/index.html as opposed to about.html) because it's just 10x easier to run link checkers that way. The response? Naw. github.com/ElMassimo/iles…
English

@pierbover @lucperkins @astrodotbuild You can already specify an arbitrary `path` per route if you need a custom URL, @lucperkins is referring to a site-wide setting.

⚡️ Vite 4 is out!
From all of us on the Vite team, thanks a lot to everyone that contributed to Core, pushed improvements from your frameworks upstream, expanded the ever-growing plugin ecosystem, and triaged, tested, or helped others in our community 💜

@JLarky @_rschristian @MaximoMussini @nickemccurdy @reactjs @preactjs In @ilesjs you can use HTML pages (like index.html in @vite_js), allowing you to easily embed SPAs inside the multi-page site.
github.com/ElMassimo/iles…
English

@_rschristian @MaximoMussini @ilesjs @nickemccurdy @reactjs @preactjs as for my example:
- you have landing on "/" that is a totally separate page and uses MPA navigation to open /dashboard
- on /dashboard you have React SPA
^^ this architecture is literally ideal architecture and it makes nothing but sense to use it with an island framework
English

@BHolmesDev @hmans @t3dotgg For example:
the-vue-point-with-iles.netlify.app/feed.rss
#L32" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/ElMassimo/iles…
As a result, in @ilesjs you can create many different RSS or Atom feeds for different "collections" or "documents", there's no limitation.
English

@BHolmesDev @hmans @t3dotgg In @ilesjs, MDX files are also Vue components, and can be rendered both client and server-side.
In RSS, it uses the Vue server side renderer, allowing you to pass the MDX component as the feed `content`.
#rendering-and-frontmatter" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">iles.pages.dev/guide/markdown…
English

@zenia2020 You can pass `base: '/docs/'` to `defineConfig` in `iles.config.ts`, similar to how you would do it in @vite_js
English

@JLarky @nickemccurdy If you'd like to use @reactjs in @ilesjs, a pull request for an adapter is welcome!
Shouldn't be too different from the @preactjs bindings:
#L17-L26" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/ElMassimo/iles…
github.com/ElMassimo/iles…
English

@nickemccurdy They are very aware of this limitation, but it’s not easy to fix :) I played with @ilesjs that has HMR but doesn’t support React specifically yet :)
