I've made some of my favourite memories, with people that I will never speak to again. And that's the strange part about life, some chapters hold laughter, love and, late night talks
but still end without closure;
you don't always get a goodbye.
Sometimes people just fade into the background, leaving behind echoes of moments that once meant everything. It hurts. Not because the memories weren't real, but because the connection wasn't meant to last.
We shared secrets, made promises and, planned futures that never happened and yet,
I wouldn't erase them.
Because in those moments, even if temporary, we were exactly who we needed to be for each other.
I've learned that not everyone is meant to stay in your story forever. Some people are lessons, some are blessings, some are both. And just because we don't speak anymore, doesn't mean I've forgotten, it doesn't mean I'm bitter. it just means I've accepted that some memories live in the past.

I don't go through his phone, I don't zoom in on likes.
I don't stalk who he follows or, play detective with a man who already knows what loyalty is.
If he wants to play games, he's free to do that.
I'm not standing in the doorway trying to block exit.
Im not competing with guys in his DM's.
If he can't see the value standing right in front of him, that's his loss, not my assignment.
Im not his mother. I'm not security. Im not a tracking app or a surveillance system. Im a partner. The moment I have to chase you, monitor you or micromanage your behavior, just to feel chosen, I've already lost you.
Real loyalty doesn't need supervision, it doesn't need constant checking or reassurance. It shows up naturally in how someone moves then you're not watching.
If you choose to throw me away for something cheap, you didn't betray me. You revealed the differences between us.
You proved I was never meant to compete in rooms that lack standards.
So no, I don't check the phone because if you choose disrespect, I choose to disappear.
