[NEWS] BTS Receives Special Award in El Paso County! El Paso County Board of Commissioners in Texas presented BTS with the "Estimado Amigo" award. In addition, they approved a resolution declaring the concert dates of May 2 and 3 as the "El Paso BTS Weekend." El Paso County acknowledged that BTS's performances contributed to revitalizing local tourism and boosting community pride, while helping to highlight El Paso as a major concert venue. Furthermore, they highly valued the social messages and public service values embedded in BTS's music. Notably, Brooke Underwood, Executive Director of the El Paso Tourism Agency, projected that the two-day concert would generate an economic impact of $75 million (approximately 110.5 billion KRW) on the local economy. The enthusiasm for BTS has spread to local fandom activities. El Paso County highlighted a fundraising campaign conducted by local ARMYs (the official fandom) to light up the city's iconic "Star on the Mountain" in purple for seven days, from April 28 to May 4.
