It is unlikely that most of the 3000 who were baptised on Pentecost Sunday had shouted "Barrabas" on Good Friday. But most of the Jewish elite seem to have wanted him dead. You called them "turncoat Jews". They claimed that under jewish law he should be executed ( “We have a law, and according to that law he ought to die because he has claimed to be the Son of God.” John 19:7).
