The Ukrainian Book Institute issued a catalogue of the 326 translations of Ukrainian books that it supported! Of course, that's not every translation from Ukrainian, but it's a good place to start if you want to find Ukrainian books in languages ranging from Albanian to Turkish😍

Ian McKellen, a two-time Oscar nominee, known worldwide as Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings and Magneto in X-Men, marked the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion by reading the poem “First Epistle to the Corinthians” by Ukrainian veteran Artur Dron. The 25-year-old Dron is a poet and writer from the Ivano-Frankivsk region. His debut poetry collection, Dormitory No. 6, was published in 2020. In 2023, he released his second collection, Here We Were, which includes the poem “First Epistle to the Corinthians.”

4 years ago at the 2022 Olympic Games. Unfortunately, over these years this call for peace has only become even more relevant. Also over these 4 years, the IOC has changed dramatically. Back then, in that action, they saw a call for peace and did not apply any sanctions against me. Now, at the Olympics, we have already seen a large number of Russian flags in the stands, on the helmet of one of the athletes - and for the IOC, this is not a violation. Yet a violation was found in the “helmet of memory”, which pays tribute to members of the Ukrainian sports family who have been killed since the last Olympic Games were held. The truth is on our side. I hope for a fair final decision from the IOC.

I read about grandmother Zhenya, who froze to death in her apartment in Kyiv. She survived the Holocaust, but did not survive this winter. It turns out we were almost neighbors; she lived at Podil. The Russians killed an elderly couple who were trying to evacuate on their own from an occupied village in the Sumy region. The man was pulling his wife on a sled through the snow. First, one FPV drone targeted the woman. The second drone attacked the already wounded man, who remained next to her body.  In the Kharkiv region, Russian Shahed drones targeted a passenger train. The car caught fire, there were killed and injured people, and all the passengers were evacuated. The Russians hit a residential building with a drone last night in the Kyiv region. A 4-year-old girl was rescued by a neighbor. Her parents were crushed and burned alive. Next week it will be minus - 22 C (degree Celsius), -7.6 F (degree Fahrenheit), so there will be large-scale shelling again on the weekend. People are freezing not just in Kyiv. This photo is from Lviv. The temperature in the room when there is no electricity. 12°C (degree Celsius) is 53.6°F (degree Fahrenheit). Why has Trump's year of negotiations with Putin become the deadliest year for civilians in Ukraine since 2022?  Because the human dimension in this war doesn't matter to the US negotiators. So, Putin decided he could do whatever he wanted.

Rescuers and police evacuated nearly 50 children after a Russian drone struck their kindergarten in Kharkiv on the morning of October 22. Tiny hands clung to those protecting them, while emergency workers contained the blaze. One person was killed, and at least seven others were injured. Absolutely no justification exists for attacking children. Ceasefire must come before any negotiations – discussions under strikes like this are impossible. Stopping terrorists requires coordinated actions and strong sanctions from the EU, the U.S., the G7, and all partners committed to peace. The world must respond – immediately.

What’s most upsetting is seeing American soldiers laying out the red carpet on their knees for a war criminal. The rest of the meeting’s futility was quite obvious.

The russians created an online catalog of children kidnapped from the occupied Luhansk region. One can filter kids by gender, eye or hair color. The site adds descriptions like "calm," "obedient," and "respectful." Can't believe the world just observes this human trafficking.
