@iree_rill Steve always had staying power and the Russos decided to end Steve's story with Ironman and black widow. Steve would never leave his friends behind and the russos did that. They obviously shouldn't have and it screws Steve as much as it screws Sam.

"The Russos are so fucking thirsty for Steve Rogers" that they gave him less screen time in his own movie than RDJ and changed the plot, cutting out his and Stan's scenes to make Civil War another installment of the Iron Man show...

@CaptainPikeachu After the way the MCU treats Bucky's prosthetic (they made a joke about it several times) or Thor's artificial eye (they made a joke about it and then ignored it), I wouldn't get hopes up too much...

It has always irked me that the comics never really explored the aftermath of John Walker losing his arm and leg, they just quickly symbiote his arm and leg back and moved on 🙃 the MCU actually has an opportunity to improve on the comics and take John’s disability seriously 👀

@fantasticspid3r @buckysbiwife I'm a Stucky fan, I read the comics and I know that Marvel Rivals isn't 616, because Bucky talked about Brooklyn and growing up with Steve, which didn't happen in 616. And that his relationship with Steve in the MCU is based on Ultimates, not 616. Maybe you should read some...?

Maybe I don't know because I've only been reading Bucky comics since 2007, so... 1/3

@dasSh616 And swapping Kang for Doom is idiotic, as is RDJ's return and Steve's return, so I'm not going to defend it, especially since Endgame was already a poor fan service with plot holes, so Doomsday will definitely get more of that in the name of "bigger and louder."

@iree_rill yeah that makes sense only if Loki series didn't happen. Classic Russos dumbing down Loki and TVA so that Steve can aura farm against Doom.. also thanks to Russos' ego we are getting Doom's whole arc centred around Steve and not Reed in the first mcu movie on Doom

@dasSh616 Steve made a selfish decision that created an alternate timeline, which is supposed to be one of the reasons the multiverse is starting to fall apart... So yeah, he's definitely not needed in a plot that partially relies on decisions he made. Not at all.

@iree_rill doesn't change the fact Russos are basically going "We love Steve Rogers so we'd have to shoehorn him as a important character in the project that doesn't even remotely demand his presence" route

@SmashTriviaJohn Didn't they sometimes say that going back in time to retrieve the Stones was supposed to happen? The fact that Steve decided to create an alternate timeline might have been a deviation from that norm, but by time it happened, TVA was already experiencing problems from 1 season.

I know a lot of scoopers have said this is the plan but I'm not sure how they will make sense of this with the Loki show. The TVA literally told Loki that everything the Avengers did was supposed to happen so they weren't pruning anything they did.

@ElAveInmortal5 @chemu6672 Exactly. For me, Bucky is bi, that's my interpretation, but even if he weren't, it's important to remember that every fick is an AU of sorts. We knows Disney would never make Stucky canon, but just because something isn't canon doesn't mean we can't consider it better.

Not all Stucky fans hate the woman. We love the woman both real life and in the story. What we don’t like in the story is what they did make it seem both Steve and Peggy move on and then retconned that. Because there were Romanogers and Staron perfectly there ready to be explored
