#AlfieUpdate: started another block of hydrotherapy. He worked extremely hard during the session and his sneaky double snack treat afterwards & chilled in the car on the way home. His efforts meant he had a lovely sleep and woke up in a happy mood. He loves his new training top.

#BeachWalk: went on a Rock Hunt with Coach Rory & the Old Fella. Mrs Makaton organised it for the local kids and it was so much fun. The coast had a bit of wind so I had to wear my VIMTO beanie (thanks Josh) to keep me warm. In total I did 2.5km walking to/from the car.

#AlfieUpdate: ExtraHydrotherapySession just what I needed after yesterday’s hill walking. When your Mummy books an extra pool session and you love it; splash time followed by a proper relaxation. Almost put me to sleep but the Old Fella kept waking me up.

#AlfieUpdate: Coach Rory said we would be doing a nice easy sunny walk today - yeah right!! It was approximately 2km, so a bit shorter but no one said it was going to me hilly and bumpy - my little legs are very tired now. (1, 2, 3, 4 move it ringing in my ears from Coach Rory)

#AlfieUpdate: took the Old Fella for Another hydrotherapy session in the hospital pool - had the usual fun & giggles tiring him (and me) out. Took the Old Fella for a Costa Afterwards whilst I had my feed. Looking forward to having a good sleep tonight.

}AlfieUpdate: since the surgical procedure last week he has had a few days rest. But yesterday we did a 2.2km walk in his frame by the beach - which tired him out. Today he did a 2km local bike ride in the sunshine and is now chilling in the garden with his iPad.

#AlfieUpdate: All went well for his Surgical Procedure yesterday but was a really long day for him. Grumpy faced in the elevator, bruised hard from the cannula to cuddles on the couch at home later - changed to iPad on the bed for more room. Has a sore throat and lost voice.

#AlfieUpdate: Hydrotherapy was the usual fun & giggles, but tiring yesterday. Even managed to get the Old Fella wet & tired doing the splashing with me (He struggled to keep up though). I get a double treat & my iPad afterwards but needed a proper sleep last night - I earned it.

#AlfieUpdate: a bit of mixed feelings today about Alfie’s next surgery coming up. Just when he is making good progress with his walking, standing, bike riding & hydrotherapy we get the news his surgery is bumped up to next week. It is needed but just 2 steps back again.

#AlfieUpdate: #HydrotherapySession: This time I took my Dad with me to show him how much I’ve improved in the pool sessions. So much fun again this week & lots of giggles. Now for a rest #CPWarriorTrainee

@Dorastar1 Thought about problem solving activities . But in a Game Scenario? Building bridges to cross swamps, carrying golden treasure to distant places etc.. developing thought, leadership, teamwork to complete tasks. Conditions to take out physicality out of their play.

Edu-folk send me your best ideas for imaginative year 4 boys who are play fighting as part of their 'stories'. They're not footy lads so that's out, but they getting into bother with their physicality even though it's mostly playful. Need ideas/ 'stuff' to help burn off energy.

@kitandrew1 Some people think that getting a Naval Ship ‘Battle Ready’ is just like packing for a trip on a Ferry Boat. Think logically; staffing, weapons, supplies, ammunition & military briefings (some done on way) all need to take place. Be half ready and a ship/staff can be lost in war.

Getting v bored of incredulous reporters saying, " what? It will take HMS Dragon a week to get to RAF Akrotiki?" Well, yes...because either was patrolling N Atlantic is being refitted and heading off. It might have happened sooner if we'd been given more notice by our "allies".

#AlfieUpdate: with his walking & bike rides increasing, Alfie has more Hydrotherapy Sessions block booked for the next 2 months (more trips for me), The boys are training for their next event in May; a 5km Walk but Alfie aims to do at least half of that. Tee-shirts for training

@OhLottie For me the time, cost, logistics & singing abilities of the children, coupled with behaviour, peer Pressures and the amount of preparation all could have been utilised on something more generally appreciated. Not being musically interested I was not the right one to send.

Here’s another thing I’ve been wondering: how much are Young Voices Ltd making in profit? Merch – £22 t-shirts?! We make our own so every has one 💙 Parents ticket sales. School staff working for free. One of my colleagues was shocked we have to pay £120 to take part.

#AlfieUpdate: TrikeRide: I love going on my trike for long rides. Today I took the Old Fella for a 2.2km hilly ride (but he walked and I tired him out). Lots of Ting Ting/Ping Ping on the bells too.

#AlfieClocks: It’s been a very busy half-term for us making the next batch of Clocks available to buy soon. We decided to use a range of colours (usually 3 different colours for each clock) so they can be bright & bespoke even more. We will be glad to get back to school.

( Run for the 97) at the end of May. I do as much as I can but the event is a 5km. I love getting the Bib Number & another medal at the end. Thanks to #BTR events for letting me be included.

#TrainingDay: after a little rest; due to me getting too big for my Walking Frame, Coach Rory took me out for a walk along the coast road. I did 1.8km in about 35mins but the time doesn’t matter, it was all my own effort. We are back in training for our next Virtual Event 1/2
