Today, #WorldDownSyndromeDay my big sis Babs has her 41st birthday. As she has aged, she has shrank so much that when I sit down & she hugs me, her heart is right beside my ear. During those hugs, I can hear her heart beat - It is one of my most favourite sounds in the world.

No words for the sadness. This is Tommie at our book launch, having so generously written a beautiful foreword. Just one of the many acts of friendship enjoyed by us and countless others. A great journalist, for sure, but an even better person. We are the poorer for his passing.
