Vocab/writing tip from @margaretmckeow2: Don’t ask kids to write a sentence with a new vocabulary word - they can fake it! E.g., does “I feel cozy” show understanding? Instead try having them complete a sentence stem: “My cat looks cozy when…” which requires more thinking!

@spelfabet Cool game. Is there a check to ensure that kids have these words in their lexicons—oral receptive/ expressive vocabs? (nomad,toxic, sonic). That’s the idea w/ mispronunciation correction/SfV—having “the set”. If you’ve never heard of the word, you can’t correct the pronunciation
