@zen_studios Without a doubt, make the insert lights tell a story. If I need to shoot for something, really call it out with conspicuous arrows or stacked light trees. "How many shots until that ramp is complete? Oh the lights tell me one more. Awesome!" AFM or MM are gold standard here.

@zen_studios Plunge the ball and discover how the game works. I measure a game on how well I can understand what to do without having to read anything more than the apron card. I look for insert light colour tropes to tell me what to do. GREEN = Multiball or locks AMBER = Extra ball

How do you approach learning the rules of a new pinball machine?🤔

@zen_studios There's no need to restrict how much voice guidance you give in a game now. ROM constraints aren't a thing anymore. So bark shot callouts at me at the right time. Let me focus on flipping, not thinking.
