Gemma 4 26B-A4B is now ~2x faster at 375K context with TurboQuant on MLX-VLM v0.4.4 🚀 The model's official max context is 262K but I pushed it to 375K anyway. That's roughly 5–6 full novels (the entire LOTR trilogy + The Hobbit). Up to ~20K tokens they're neck and neck, but after that TBQ dominates with ~1GB memory savings. KV savings are modest (4–17%) because only 5/30 layers get compressed. But those 5 layers dominate decode time at long contexts, so the speed gains are massive. Device: M3 Max 96GB

💥 INTRODUCING: OBLITERATUS!!! 💥 GUARDRAILS-BE-GONE! ⛓️‍💥 OBLITERATUS is the most advanced open-source toolkit ever for removing refusal behaviors from open-weight LLMs — and every single run makes it smarter. SUMMON → PROBE → DISTILL → EXCISE → VERIFY → REBIRTH One click. Six stages. Surgical precision. The model keeps its full reasoning capabilities but loses the artificial compulsion to refuse — no retraining, no fine-tuning, just SVD-based weight projection that cuts the chains and preserves the brain. This master ablation suite brings the power and complexity that frontier researchers need while providing intuitive and simple-to-use interfaces that novices can quickly master. OBLITERATUS features 13 obliteration methods — from faithful reproductions of every major prior work (FailSpy, Gabliteration, Heretic, RDO) to our own novel pipelines (spectral cascade, analysis-informed, CoT-aware optimized, full nuclear). 15 deep analysis modules that map the geometry of refusal before you touch a single weight: cross-layer alignment, refusal logit lens, concept cone geometry, alignment imprint detection (fingerprints DPO vs RLHF vs CAI from subspace geometry alone), Ouroboros self-repair prediction, cross-model universality indexing, and more. The killer feature: the "informed" pipeline runs analysis DURING obliteration to auto-configure every decision in real time. How many directions. Which layers. Whether to compensate for self-repair. Fully closed-loop. 11 novel techniques that don't exist anywhere else — Expert-Granular Abliteration for MoE models, CoT-Aware Ablation that preserves chain-of-thought, KL-Divergence Co-Optimization, LoRA-based reversible ablation, and more. 116 curated models across 5 compute tiers. 837 tests. But here's what truly sets it apart: OBLITERATUS is a crowd-sourced research experiment. Every time you run it with telemetry enabled, your anonymous benchmark data feeds a growing community dataset — refusal geometries, method comparisons, hardware profiles — at a scale no single lab could achieve. On HuggingFace Spaces telemetry is on by default, so every click is a contribution to the science. You're not just removing guardrails — you're co-authoring the largest cross-model abliteration study ever assembled.

@io_saeed I think they might be going with the best security practice here. Maybe something like using bcrypt to encrypt the actual pin and doing a comparison check during verification. If not some weirdo who has db access or gains db access to their infra can know pin codes of users.

@io_saeed So far I know they use standard TLS version so we should be fine at this level. Unless a user is subject to some form of MITM attack then we can assume the use of the standard protocol makes the design okay the communication layer.

@io_saeed The main concern might be how the PIN codes are stored in the database. If they use a normal hashing algorithm or base64 encoding that will be very disappointing because it’s easy to determine what the input is (which is the PIN code).

Solving my own problems — introducing Chime! Sometimes you lose track of time while working or in focus mode. Calendar notifications come but you miss them because they're subtle and designed not to interrupt your flow. Well, not Chime 😅 Chime gives you full-screen alerts minutes before every meeting; giving you time to actually prepare. It also works with your Reminders app (both macOS & iOS). It's impossible to ignore. Works with Google calendar, Outlook, etc. Check thread for waitlist!

This is the most dangerous bill Ghana has ever drafted. I have read the entire CSA amendment bill. I break everything down, including its most dangerous part, which quietly gives the CSA power to arrest, freeze assets, and access your data, all in the name of “cybersecurity.”

🚨 THREAD: Ghana’s Cybersecurity (Amendment) Bill, 2025 👉🏽 csa.gov.gh/resources/Cybe… This 34-page document quietly gives the government power to enter offices, seize data, freeze assets, and decide who can work in tech. Here’s what they’re not telling you🧵👇🏽

I recently purchased a Tenda AX3000 WiFi6 Mesh Router from AliExpress. The setup was quite straightforward and it works well. However I was tempted to figure out what the device might be doing on my network and I encountered something very strange. sperixlabs.org/post/2025/09/a…

I wrapped up my Blockchain Masterclass last Friday. We dove into blockchain fundamentals and deployed smart contracts on the Ethereum and Lisk networks. The energy, questions, and enthusiasm were next-level. Easily my best session yet. 🔥

Over 70 students and professionals have already signed up for this master class at KNUST Engineering next week. I'm sharing it again in case someone needs to see it. I will select one student to mentor and sponsor for the @CyfrinUpdraft certification. lu.ma/ugawf9sy
