@SirDimetrious a lot of the games friction is removed when you've optimized it out. try explaining how cryo's final exfil works to randos in fill and feel the panic set in as you try to not lose 20k worth of loadout while another squad is still alive chasing you down

Marathon’s biggest problem is that extracting is rarely ever exciting. In Arc Raiders, every extract point was guarded by a major enemy (Rocketeer, Leaper, etc). You never ever felt safe until you made it out. Especially when the game was new, every extract was hype. Most marathon extracts are just waltzing up to the thing, calling it, and then leaving.

@biggieU_U this is simply an example of the obtuse information delivery that plagued souls games at its worst. additional difficulty challenges should be strange or difficult to access like charmless/bell demon, not tied to covenants which historically did almost nothing

@MechaGirlOTD TBH, God Gundam is insanely strong. Like everything else in Gundam doesn't even begin to touch it. It is legit in the super robot category, while everything else is a regular Mecha. The only things that come close are Turn A Gundam, and maybe unicorn Gundam.

Thinking about it, Dynasty Warriors Gundam had Domon's God Finger beat both Amuro's Gundam Hammer and Kamille's Waverider Crash, but had it lose to Judau's High Mega Cannon.

It’s insane that you literally cannot play the original Overwatch anymore, it is completely unpreserved in any form all because it got a pointless “sequel” that replaced it. I haven’t played Overwatch since 2017, so knowing I can never again play a game I paid full price for is disconcerting.

@Nymiixl Me. I enjoy the gameplay loop, but I can’t play very often. I’m aware it’ll be a while until I Cryo. Personally, I see the pve mode the same as I saw the pve modes in Overwatch - a limited and different way to enjoy the game, mechanically and lore-wise.

@Dreamboum the shagohod sequence is borderline unplayable with the vanilla camera to me, every time eva rapidly turned you would have 0 clue where you were aiming. I had to play that shit like an on rails shooter in perma FPS mode or i was gunna throw up

I've heard before that the third-person Subsistence camera is the intended MGS3 experience that Kojima couldn't implement at the time, but then the Shagohod sequence that was blocked with unique camera angles is completely replaced by a camera behind Snake's back in Subsistence.

@giancar73012035 because destiny is closer to games like monster hunter, the division,borderlands, and diablo where theres a fully fledged single player story in there that transitions into an mmo like post game. the single player element justifies being a fully priced retail title with sequels

Destiny is the only "MMO" I've seen where most people are clamoring for a sequel. I've never seen people asking for Warframe 2 or WoW 2 as much as Destiny fans want Destiny 3.
