A new milestone for humankind: The crew of Artemis II are now the farthest any human has ever travelled, reaching a maximum distance of 252,752 miles from Earth. This surpasses the previous record set by Apollo 13 in 1970 by about 4,102 miles.

OK this is cool. The first time humans have seen the whole Mare Orientale on the far side of the Moon with their own eyes. Usually hidden from our view on Earth, even Apollo astronauts didn't see it completely because of their orbit and illumination conditions (Apollo 17 caught a partial glimpse lit by 'Earthshine'). History in the making In this new image from our @NASAArtemis II crew, you can see Orientale basin on the right edge of the lunar disk. This mission marks the first time the entire basin has been seen with human eyes.

Today we’re excited to introduce a brand-new map layer on FlightAware: Flat Earth View 🌍 Early testers report one small issue: long-haul flights occasionally sail off the map. We’re looking into it. #AprilFools #AvGeek #FlightAware

Your RAG pipeline is probably embedding the same documents more than once. Duplicate embeddings are easy to miss. They don't throw errors. They just quietly degrade retrieval quality, inflate storage costs, and get worse as you scale. Here’s a practical guide to idempotency patterns for LLM apps, covering where duplicate work sneaks in and how to stop it before it becomes a production problem: redis.io/blog/what-is-i…
