I can’t understand the absence of critical thinking skills it takes to believe @elonmusk “runs” or “built” EV/space companies after witnessing the most pathetic decision making we will see in our lifetime.
He pays smart people. They succeeded in spite of him. Go to hell, Elmo.

@willsmith Maybe we can convince all the boot lickers to volunteer for the first shuttle.
English

@Kobe_TRAINWRECK Boot lickers that clearly haven’t graduated high school. 🙄
You don’t know a damn thing about software engineering, yet you think you can claim who really is one. Just like Elmo.
English

@EricFrohnhoefer Sorry all the idiots in your comments think “free speech” only applies to them. Thank you for everything you did.
English

@EmilyKager Why is it that not only do people want Musk to fail but expect him to fail. He has literally never failed in any other business. Twitter is an awesome place. We should be rooting for him to succeed. All other social networks, you are the product. For once lets not be the product
English

@Nick_Craver I’m starting to think it’s a great idea to do that.
English

@SwizzleSister @GrogsGamut Good point, and we know there’s a reason an egotistical man-child insists on doing it this way. He’ll blame the “radicals” all the way to the bottom.
English

@GrogsGamut You know, when billionaires buy companies that are outside their experience level, they usually either keep the current executive team or bring in someone who knows the industry. There's a reason they don't do what this guy is doing.
English

@elonmusk @langdon @EricFrohnhoefer @pokemoniku Congratulations on being an even more fragile bitch than Donald Trump.

I have spent ~6yrs working on Twitter for Android and can say this is wrong.
Elon Musk@elonmusk
Btw, I’d like to apologize for Twitter being super slow in many countries. App is doing >1000 poorly batched RPCs just to render a home timeline!
English

@jbogard Or Tesla stock. And apparently that’s a huge PITA if you want to stick with ETFs.
English

@jeremydmiller Seems perfectly fine considering .NET 5 went EOL like 6 months ago. I’ve done enough of those Startup migrations to know they’re not terribly painful.
With a major version release, I wouldn’t blame any maintainer for doing that.
English

@firstdrafthell I feel your pain. I’m responsible for 3 Mac-minis (CI/CD) that sit in the office because ops doesn’t want to deal with them. But every time they reboot I have to call someone to log in and get them online 😭
English

@elonmusk @EricFrohnhoefer Literally every software engineer rn:
@elonmusk has no idea what he’s talking about
He’s worse than the shitty PM that tries to spit out every tech buzzword when making excuses after being asked for a new feature 😂
English

@EricFrohnhoefer Twitter is super slow on Android. What have you done to fix that?
English

@BlockFi you and your CC issuing back can fuck off. There is NO reason to suspend credit cards right now. They have nothing to do with crypto.
English

@elonmusk So you can’t read, and you lie just to try to pretend you have any idea what’s going on. Wow I’m shocked Twitter is a complete shitshow now.
Can you just give freedom of speech to Fox News and destroy something that actually deserves it for once?

@BernieSanders Full answer to insulin price question is complex. Short answer is that original insulin, discovered in 1921 (not 1923), is inexpensive, costing as little as $25.
New, higher efficacy analog variants of insulin are more expensive. @CommunityNotes

@jamonholmgren The PR is the problem here, not commits.
Love the sanity of trunk-based.
English

Big agree.
The best place for those tidy commits is in the PR, along with all discussions/comments and other history that is only on GitHub/Bitbucket/GitLab.
Once it hits main, it should be one squashed commit with a reference back to the PR that spawned it.
Jacob Tomlinson@_JacobTomlinson
@Ciaran_Evans I often find this a polarising topic, especially outside of GitHub repos. Some people really groom their PR commits and care about them being preserved. They tidy up that kind of commit on the PR and leave a nice-looking history. I'm arguing this is a waste of time.
