I tried to help this lady out in order to keep a promise to her child but she was dead set on knocking down every single one of my suggestions, but was totally OK with breaking a promise to their own child

I swear some parents would come up with any kind of excuse in the world but be totally OK with disappointing their own child, when it would be so easy to help said child out (sorry for sliding back into my old Twitter persona) I
