I keep coming back to the fact that Eren’s version of intimacy is making Mikasa’s life easier. After years of being the one she had to look after, he imagines becoming someone she can depend on instead. He wants to feed her, keep her safe, handle the work and let her rest.

Itterasshai (see you later) deserves more recognition, it’s one of the most beautiful aot endings to me ♥️

eren being in doubt here and thinking that mikasa’s protectiveness just comes from her “ackerman instincts” but then zeke shuts that thought down and straight up tells him that she actually genuinely loves him.

@nimbusghoulette Yeah even though the "see you later" scene from chapter 1 was reanimated in the final season to match the manga, it's kinda sad that barely any anime-only fans talk about it

@jevjaeger I love the aot anime and i understand why this and some other foreshadowing stuff like mikasa arm wraps may have been cut but like i think it does lessen the impact of lines like see you later eren at the end. Still works well but wouldve worked better had it been at the start

I think Franz and Hannah were introduced for a reason. It shows us that normal love won't work in the world they lived in. That's why canon couple like eremika and yumihisu are more like making each other as driving force to keep on fighting instead of typical romance
