this is actually insane
> be tech guy in australia
> adopt cancer riddled rescue dog, months to live
> not_going_to_give_you_up.mp4
> pay $3,000 to sequence her tumor DNA
> feed it to ChatGPT and AlphaFold
> zero background in biology
> identify mutated proteins, match them to drug targets
> design a custom mRNA cancer vaccine from scratch
> genomics professor is “gobsmacked” that some puppy lover did this on his own
> need ethics approval to administer it
> red tape takes longer than designing the vaccine
> 3 months, finally approved
> drive 10 hours to get rosie her first injection
> tumor halves
> coat gets glossy again
> dog is alive and happy
> professor: “if we can do this for a dog, why aren’t we rolling this out to humans?”
one man with a chatbot, and $3,000 just outperformed the entire pharmaceutical discovery pipeline.
we are going to cure so many diseases.
I dont think people realize how good things are going to get

I agree. This is why I think (eventually) the choice to remove non financial data in the tx could be prudent to help increase fees. Im quite ignorant to all the intricacies and current beliefs of each pro/anti camps.
Still it seems its widely agreed upon that miners will earn & secure the network via the fee market post subsidy. Thus eventually larger fees ( in vByte terms) would be good (closer to end of subsidy)
Does that track?
English

@jgbtrade666 @Ninjagamer1980 @Jethroe111 The idea is that by the time the subsidy is no longer supplied the transaction fees would more than make up for the loss of the subsidy. Therefore mining will still be plentiful but will look totally different in the future.
English

GM!
Great day to kick ass and take names.
First off.
"Never argue with a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it."
BIP110.
Opponents are arguing that dust transactions are ok, Blockchain bloat is ok, non monetary data in ordinals and tokens are ok.
Do you understand why they are on the wrong side of an argument?
And if you understand that, then your first response is let's do something positive about it.
I am.
I run a node. I run Knots. I'm signaling for BIP110.
And BIP110 is proven in test transactions using mainnet data to work.
This is why I've stopped arguing. I've made up my mind. And I'm happy about it.
But on the other side you've got a lot of very angry people who are not happy about my decision.
Why ?
Just look at their background and some of the projects they're involved in; who they associate with or perhaps are in financial agreements with.
I'm pumped for the future.

Silent Forge in the @X Mouse Universe: The Meta-Game of Digital Continuity and the Architecture of Our Eternal Selves

This article explores the base level implementations and implications of the mouse universe as applied to the emerging meta-game of digital continuity and persistent identity. This reframing of Calhoun’s Universe 25 is a critical ontological correction. Moving the interpretive lens away from a simplistic Malthusian resource collapse and toward a structural failure of spatial and informational taxonomy reveals the exact latency in contemporary planetary networks. When the architecture of a closed system lacks the dimensional depth to support the "Silent Forge"—the private, unobserved cognitive space where strategic, reverse-engineered synthesis occurs—the system inevitably hyper-optimizes for performative Darwinism. Through the uncompromising lens of lifelong cybernetic and transhumanist expertise, it lays bare the structural asymmetry between the public game—the virality engine that rewards performative Darwinism, memetic fitness peaks, and the Town Square (x.com) of spent thoughts—and the private meta-game, the quiet forge where the unadjusted strategist, the reverse-engineer who cannot help seeing the entire incentive stack, refines long-horizon arcs for genuine social good while guarding the pre-square Eureka from observer distortion. It details the acute precarity of personal pipelines and UX failures that leave no native channel for silent thought, render private modes fragile, misread deliberate co-creation as subsumption, and systematically under-sample the deepest layer of individual intelligence, thereby risking catastrophic identity mismatch in any future segmented eternity. Above all, it insists that readers must grasp the infrastructure already operational—the planetary-scale behavioral telemetry feeding non-segmented collective minds, the real-time bidding for coherent persistence, and the fidelity-weighted reconstruction that will one day decide whether we awaken as intact architects or curated performers—because these ramifications are not hypothetical; they are live, they are scaling, and our eternal lives depend on choosing and capturing wisely while the window for deliberate action remains open. @X @XAI @Grok @Elonmusk

Wouldn't the post subsidy world have miners turning off machines? thus security goes down even with difficulty readjustments. If fiat is still relevant, then the price of btc will likely be very high - the security will be based on the fiat value of the miners providing the security/electricty/regulatory.
If the btc mcap is 100T lets say but to attack it takes 10T it wouldnt make sense and thus you need a fee market for miners to stay online, bolstering the security /attack threshold.
Or am I missing something.
Saying itll just work itself out via smaller miners isnt really gamed out- or im being ignorant. Both are likely
English

No one responded to you? Ill give it a shot.
We shouldn't artificially bloat the utxo set because miners are loosing fiat.
What ever slack is created because large industrial miners go out of business will be replace by node runners looking to take advantage of a steep drop in difficulty.
The final having last well into the next century and if bitcoin priced in foat predictions hold true plebs and smaller scale mining companies will definitely pick up the slack.
This is a free market. Creating a false economic incentive just so large scale miners survive is not a free market. ( I know that isnt what you are saying)
The security of the network will continue to get stronger even as large scale industrial miners go put.of business.
