Quick Update This AM Looking at the latest meteogram runs for any meaningful signal out West — and it’s not looking good, folks. Many of you have asked whether the Marshall Islands signal is back open for business. Short answer: no — not as of now, despite what others are saying and posting. Take a look below: Basically, the more colors you see on the right side of the grid, the stronger the signal for rain/snow in #SoCal and #California. And frankly, there’s not much there through the end of the month. I know some are calling for another round of ARs and storms in #California / #SoCal — but I just don’t see it in the data. All the action remains Midwest → East Coast, where the cold air / jet interaction is focused. They’re trying to spin up a Nor’easter / coastal, but this setup makes that challenging as well. Meanwhile, even Florida gets in on the fun — with the #PolarVortex dropping south starting tomorrow into the week, running ~ 30-40°F colder in spots than parts of #California.
