Ships have begun using Iran's approved route through the Strait of Hormuz this morning. At least 8 tankers have managed to pass, while numerous other ships are loitering short of the crossing or have turned back. AIS via @MarineTraffic.

In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of ceasefire, on the coordinated route as already announced by Ports and Maritime Organisation of the Islamic Rep. of Iran.








Iran stopped all petrochemical exports in an effort to support the domestic market in the aftermath of damages to the industry in the the 39-day war. The order to petrochemical plants came form the National Iranian petrochemical company (NIPC) in a letter dated April 13, 2026.
