At the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) Student Congress on Policies in Education (SCOPE) event, student delegates from our three high schools stepped into the role of school board members in mock board meetings. Working together, they discussed some of today’s important topics in education—sharing ideas, debating solutions, and learning how decisions that shape schools are made. We’re proud to see these young leaders collaborate, communicate, and make their voices heard! 👏📚
Thanks to Board Chairman Blake Shankle, Ms. Brawner, and Mr. Bolkom for their work with our students this week.

So, Beau and I have been contemplating this decision all morning. After driving multiple roads that have a good deal of melting left to do, we’re calling it for @TCSchools_ and offices tomorrow (Thursday, Feb 5th). Wait … what’s that crossing the road behind us??

English
John Combs retweetet

Well, this stuff isn’t going to be better by tomorrow. Here are a few current peeks at roads around the county. Soooo, @TCSchools_ and offices will be closed tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 6th. Thank you to Cpl Lorin Raines and her furry friend for the pic!

English

Well, there are still too many roads that are treacherous to travel, so @TCSchools_ and offices will be closed again tomorrow, February 4th. I hope my barber can get out of her driveway … my last cut was back when y’all were in school.

English

No matter the decision about school tomorrow, if @johncombs_ doesn’t use a groundhog in his announcement he’s missing a once in a lifetime—well, once in a year—opportunity.
