@vatsal_manot @krzyzanowskim agree, its too broken for my use for the more limited scope of prompts, maybe you could get more out of it, but i share your skepticism conceptually tho, i do like the idea and execution

@johnnulls @krzyzanowskim Agreed with you on “if they cleaned the APIs up”, as is the story with so many of their other frameworks.

nice use of nstextattachment “reverse rich text”—where normal text is plain (same style and size), but rich embedded elements add pop, style and interaction—is underexplored prompting/messaging/notes seem like good places for it

Today we’re introducing Cheats in @Spielwerkapp Prompting has failed us. Most people don’t know what to type. AI unlocked a ton of skills for experts, but the rest of us kinda need a… cheat. Sound on!

@gewang behavior stays local and in-place the text around a control defines its context the control itself can be deleted, copied and pasted like normal text the patterns are familiar, and consistent within the interface

@gewang we declare a general structure, and then nudge things around within it these attachments are perfect for this interaction they expose buttons and handles for these nudging interactions the keyboard to define the signal path, the mouse to adjust the flow through it

in school, i loved the approach taken by @gewang's ChucK. we see the same in software like Strudel the musical score and arrangement expressed programmatically via text not in markup like CSound, but in plain, terse declarations and familiar control structures

in any case, i appreciate seeing “text is the universal interface” taken literally keyboard-driven is good ux, and nearly every user can edit text if apple cleaned up its text APIs a little, we’d see a lot more of this

of course, the look of these displays totally breaks down if the text stops being plain combining rich text and attachments makes it hard to get good-looking outputs, throwing the balance off unless the text is styled very minimally but for many contexts, rich text isnt needed

@ChrisRulon Well said, and you’re truly doing the Lord’s work. The only challenge I’d raise is that the digestibility of the critique affects how palatable it is to the fans and defenders. But maybe the bad taste I got says more about how I view guys like Pablo. Carry on!

@johnnulls Maybe not the only approach but these media people have plenty of fans and plenty of defenders, not enough critics, we should keep them as honest as possible instead of making excuses for why they fall short or self censor.

Pablo Torre fears Israel and loves his Morning Joe job, these things are directly related.

@ChrisRulon No, I’ve seen those stories. And fair point. No need for the snippiness, I enjoy your critiques But I think there’s an exposure vs coverage tradeoff that these personalities do navigate, and I don’t think always indicting the individual is the only approach

@johnnulls Durant and Curry are basically Israeli defense contractors and the NBA and NFL are basically IDF and ADL propaganda mills at this point, I suppose a Pablo fan would have missed that news though

@ChrisRulon why would the sports-obsessed TV personality report on the nation with no sports that owns the TV?

@TruthDG19 @drs10909 @mtracey What kind of loser spends his time on here defending Tracey? Yes people get a lot wrong about Michael. No, that does not make him right in the slightest It just makes you a rube, who’s judgement is clouded by a desire for Epstein to be innocent

@drs10909 @mtracey He doesn't quibble about it any such thing. And you said he argued that "14 and 15 year old girls are ripe for the picking". Where did he argue that?

@spidersoze99133 @loomdoop Your numbers were dropping off there, I think you should go on…anyone else? You’re gonna need a lot more to out-stack the millions of bodies from the American/Israeli death machine What is the desired endgame? That American teachers have freedom Pretty simple

@loomdoop Iran to the tune of 30k of their own people. Illegals to the tune of hundreds of US citizens. Should I go on? I guess my question for you with the Palestinians is, do you support what Trump is doing with the ceasefire? What is the endgame you seek?

This is Scott Wiener's legislation, signed by Gavin Newsom, that criminalizes any criticism of the state of Israel, or open support of Palestinians at all. The state is suing schools over a pro-Palestine student walkout, a Free Palestine poster, an anti-racist event, etc.

a few years ago, i thought game engines might begin to act like IDEs for wider genres of apps, not just games godot seemed primed for this, as the godot editor was built in this exact fashion modest efforts have been undertaken, but this route still feels underappreciated

how could you not sell your land for $22 million? isn't that money good enough to ignore the betrayal of your ancestors and neighbors? how could you be so foolish to think it isn't?
