“Coach, I haven’t been able to get to the gym.” That is the excuse. You do not need a gym, a hoop, or a ball to improve your shot. You only need focus and repetition. Try these 3 to 5 times a week and add some bodyweight strength exercises and your athlete can improve at home.

Average shooters ignore details. Elite shooters dive into them. Most athletes, even varsity players, lack the maturity to pay attention. It's like giving a kid a steak, they can't taste what makes it great. Mechanics. Warm up. Small details. That is where the jump happens.
