Is it just me or is mRS at 90 days an antiquated functional outcome for #acute stroke trials w/o accounting for other factors such as type & intensity of rehabilitation, discharge location, family/care partner support, etc. So much occurs between life saving measures & 90 days!

NEEDED: More integration of rehabilitation into the cancer care plan. Over 1/4 of US cancer survivors reported mobility disability, and ~10% reported self-care disability. Patterns varying across cancer types & treatment status. Suggest disability prevention is needed in cancer care. Have you heard about #rehabilitation? #prehabilitation ? Not after treatment, not as an aside, but as part of the cancer care plan! More people are surviving cancer, we cannot afford to have nearly 1/3 of those people live the rest of their lives with disability. Treating the disease is not enough.
