The Dual Use Conference is a regional event allowing a curated audience of relevant security and defence experts, decision makers, innovators and investors to form a trust and action-based ecosystem. And DEFSEC West, an inaugural event, connects Western Canada's defence industry with international and government stakeholders.

This week, Canada hosts partners to advance the establishment of the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB). As part of this effort, the first in-person round of negotiations kicks off in Montreal, working toward a charter that will define the governance and operations of the Bank. Canada has entered a new phase of capability building. The recent round of federal investments tied to the Arctic, domestic ammunition production, sovereign space launch, and quantum technology points to a sharpened focus on holistically strengthening the industrial and technological foundations of Canadian security. Canada has announced: $35 billion+ in federal investment into the Arctic $182.6 million to launch a sovereign space launch program $1.4 billion in domestic ammunition production and $161 million in investment by the National Research Council Canada for quantum-related defence and security applications.
