The Pirates should never trade Paul Skenes and just let him walk in free agency (if they don’t sign him). Make every large market team that wants him suffer. Get every ounce of him that you can.

@Pirates247 By May if some of these guys who we expect to hit, don't and the guys in AAA are hitting then I think we start to see guys like Password and Merlyn getting looks. They can't wait till June the hole will be too deep by then.

@MartyOnFifthAve Everyone here was screaming that we desperately needed a 3rd baseman and they did nothing about it and now look at us. The catcher situation isn't much better either.

Even when Griffin gets here, everyone pointing to “oh we’ll just put Triolo at third” is forgetting that he’s a complete pumpkin at the plate. Striking out on a 3rd basemen may have killed this team, unless Cherington can make a trade rather soon for one!

@BobSmizik Thank God for Lowe and O’Hearn. If it weren’t for them we’d be 0-3 with maybe a total of 3 runs scored over that period. With that being said I’m leaning towards never.

Too early to panic but not too early to have some fun with #Pirates poor start. AFTER HOW MANY GAMES WILL THEIR RECORD BE ABOVE .500? Answer can range from 7-162. Or never.

@SteelCityBucs30 I would wait till August to be honest. I remember one year we were in the playoff hunt before the all star break and collapse completely afterwards.

I’ve decided I’m not drawing any conclusions about this team until they play 20 games. April 17th at around 9:30 PM, I will have my opinions

@PiratesFaithful Let’s not forget that Matt Hague is probably the worst hitting coach in MLB. A huge problem the Pirates constantly have is they hire these cheap, unqualified bums as coaches and this is the result.

I have no idea what Oneil Cruz is doing at the plate and this is from the guy who called a breakout season for him. He's completely swinging in the dark.
