@BellCatMHS Congratulations to the 20 band students who qualified for ISSMA State today. These students performed in Group 1 (the most difficult level) and received a gold rating. State is Feb 28 at North Central HS.

@bam_weather I remember previous winters where the models would always see cold 2 weeks out, to always flip to warm in the medium range. Amazing how it’s the absolute opposite now. Is there an MJO phase or a teleconnection that is causing the models to “want” to see warmth in the long range?

When you see the data warm up again in the 10-15 day remember how many times it’s done this and how bad it’s been and remember the pattern does not support warmer risks right now. This roll forward is wildly bad.

The dewpoint has reached or exceeded 75° in #Indianapolis for the 5th straight day. This is the LONGEST streak of oppressive levels of humidity here in over a decade (2011). That leads to another afternoon with a HEAT INDEX exceeding 100° in many locations
