Donald Trump just ended a rule that required airlines to compensate you for delayed or canceled flights. Why? Maybe because the airlines donated big bucks to Trump. Or maybe because the Secretary of Transportation used to be an airline lobbyist. Either way, you lose.

I haven’t seen any evidence anywhere that she did anything other than write an op-ed. If there’s other evidence against her, we need to see it, now. Otherwise we’re looking at deeply chilling, profoundly un-American behavior.

This video is so disturbing. I’ve always considered myself pro-Israel. But if that now means arresting, jailing, and deporting someone whose only “crime” we know of was writing a pro-Palestine op-ed, then count me out. I want nothing to do with that.

Important to realize that Trump’s approach to Canada and Greenland is like his approach to Ukraine. It’s not even American imperialism. It is America enabling Russian imperialism. It’s America destroying its own best alliances, cutting itself off from its own crucial bases, making a Russian nuclear first strike on the US easier, opening Arctic territories that were once safe to Russian expansion. That’s the one logic that makes it all make sense. There is no conception of US interests, including an imperial one, in which this makes sense.

Something is shifting. They are still breaking things and stealing things. And they will keep trying to break and to steal. But the propaganda magic around the oligarchical coup is fading. Nervous Musk, Trump, Vance have all been outclassed in public arguments these last few days. Government failure, stock market crash, and dictatorial alliances are not popular. People are starting to realize that there is no truth here beyond the desire for personal wealth and power.
