While Lagosians struggle, 6.2 billion is budgeted for 40 houses in Abuja for State House of Assembly members. Your taxes are funding out-of-state luxury. Read @funsodoherty’s budget analysis: static1.squarespace.com/static/61fa8b8…’S+2026+PROPOSED+BUDGET+%5B2%5D+2.pdf

Lagos salaried workers paid ₦705.41 billion in taxes in 2024. In return, they got potholes, insecurity, and zero safety nets. The government took that money and bought luxury cars and furniture.

Defend ideas. Not people. Never defend people. People are fickle, complicated. And even when you defend ideas, interrogate them until they prove worthy, fit for purpose; refine them. Ideas will not sneak up on you and have scandals. They will not be greedy and betray you.

On January 5, 2026, lawyer Princess Mediatrix Nwamaka Chigbo was abducted on the Kubwa Expressway, Abuja, by a one-chance syndicate in a black Volkswagen Golf 3. They demanded ₦3 million. Her family couldn’t pay. She was killed. This is Wike’s FCT. This is Tinubu’s Nigeria.

“One-chance” vehicles are tightening their grip on the nation’s capital. Too many times, what should be a routine commute turns into violent attacks, and victims sometimes never make it back.

Private schools, private hospitals, private firefighting, gated estates are all symptoms of what she is talking about. At some point money cannot save you from societal dysfunction. The solution is to fight against the dysfunction in all aspects. Hold govt accountable!

For six months, the NIS held on to my passport renewal application. However, a few hours after my social media posts calling out Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo’s failed ‘contactless’ application promise, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has suddenly activated my passport status to “issued/collected”. This happened despite the bombardment of my X account in particular by micro-semi-pseudo-influencers and ‘data boys’ hustling for their daily bread. The implication of this sudden about-face is clear: the system can actually work (i) if the minister and the civil servants are committed to making it work; and (ii) if we demand accountability from the government regardless of coordinated social-media backlash. That said, I will still not physically visit any NIS office. The minister’s repeated promise is a "contactless" process that "eliminates physical contact" with NIS staff. I paid to have it delivered to a designated address, and I expect to enjoy the service I paid for. When it’s your turn, visit their office in person and bribe whoever is asking you to!

“Why put a password on WiFi (e.g starlink) when it’s unlimited?” Because that mindset can land you in real trouble. If someone connects to your WiFi and does something illegal …I’m talking about scams, fraud, hacking, downloading crazy stuff etc ….the IP address traces back to YOU. Guess who gets questioned first? Yep. YOU (the WiFi owner) Also, unlimited doesn’t mean free. You’re the one paying for that Starlink. Why should random people enjoy what you’re funding? And let’s talk security real quick: Open WiFi = open door. Anyone nearby can sniff traffic, scan devices, or mess with your network. A WiFi password isn’t being stingy. It’s protecting your identity, your devices, and your peace of mind. Cybersecurity starts at home. Lock your network Bye 🙂‍↔️

Passwording your Starlink is another form of wickedness. It’s unlimited, allow people use it!
