Three valuable lessons learned from family that I’ll always be grateful for are strength, resilience, and self reliance. I left home at 16 completed high school, got into my University of choice, finished without any student loans, and bought my first home at 22.
I always knew we came from a very broken and dysfunctional household. Seeing how families are supposed to be makes me wonder if life would have been different if we were raised in a healthy environment.
@Rainmaker1973 Everything about this kangaroo’s acting is adorable. The hand positions, the dramatic facial expressions, and the side turn at the end. Such a clever one.
@Yourdivineness Yes! Honorable mentions are Armani and Hourglass. I’m super oily but with EL foundation and a light set with loose powder. No touch ups needed all day.
Estee Lauder double wear will always be my holy grail foundation (as long as they don’t switch up the formula)! Got ready at 5pm, went to a humid outdoor party, then to celebrate in a crowded lounge. Came home, fell asleep. Woke at 4:30pm. Makeup still looks freshly applied!
@ltscore316 Did you guys ended up taking it? Interesting that they requested it specifically and not the cute suggestion way. I feel like if they just mentioned it was so good last time and didn’t ask for it directly it’s ok. But to ask directly or designate guests is a bit much.
@lamCami888 Maybe. All 4 of the invitees I know were asked to bring something extravagant. It’s like a forced pot luck request sent via text. On a week’s notice
My family in the area is very small. We always celebrated occasions on a small scale with just immediate family. I’ve been with people that are very close to their extended families and do big celebrations where everyone comes together. It’s really nice.
Me watching a documentary about psychopaths and how they "prefer to stay at home, don't have many friends and can get very upset over a minor inconvenience"
Lol. We’re watching Antiques Road Show and he says “I like when a humble person ends up having a treasure and the cocky jackazz ends up having worthless shiet.”
Hahahah. These are my thoughts exactly.
I know someone who has lived humbly and worked an honorable job got a decent, but not extravagant wage. No flash, worked hard everyday. Made his money work for him ~ invested and learned how to trade. Now sitting on eight figures. No stress, no drama, just enjoying a quiet life.
People really be playing victim when they had every opportunity to succeed/maintain their position/elevate but squandered it away. You had a chance & made a conscious decision not to get better or at minimum and stay on top. Everything takes work. Don’t hate when you’re replaced.
Watching a reality show where these women so quick to introduce their kids to their new partners and have them calling a stranger “dad”… Meanwhile over here it took me over 2 years to introduce my fiancé to my pets. Met my mom at the 3 year mark.
