Did you know Mitch Marner could have been a Mammoth? 😳 Back in 2015, the Arizona Coyotes drafted Dylan Strome third overall but could have taken Mitch Marner instead. Strome recorded 16 NHL points over three seasons in the desert, while Marner racked up 741 regular season points in nine years with the Maple Leafs, who took him fourth overall that year. The Coyotes would go on to trade Strome to Chicago, relocate and rebrand to the Mammoth, and Marner would also later be traded to the Vegas Golden Knights. Fast forward to today and Marner finds himself one game away from eliminating the Mammoth in the first round of the #StanleyCupPlayoffs. 👀
