8/ tl;dr: Ja, mehr und bessere RCTs zur Wirksamkeit von Masken wären schön, doch solche Designs sind schwierig umzusetzen. Aber es gibt einen Berg an aussagekräftiger Evidenz aus Studien mit anderen Designs, die klar in eine Richtung geht: Masken sind wirksam.

5/ Aber gut, wenn es keine RCTs gibt, gibt es eben keine Evidenz zu Masken und Covid? Doch. Es gibt sehr viel Evidenz aus Studien mit anderen Designs: Zahlreiche epidemiologische Studien und natürliche Experimente finden klare positive Effekte von Masken.

The reason you aren't seeing many masks in conference and holiday party photos is because the people smart enough, responsible enough, and/or vulnerable enough to wear them can't or won't attend inequitable, unsafe events.

@0xabad1dea Is it, though? To my knowledge, actual height is not decoded in the earliest scripts I know of (although my knowledge is deepest on medieval notations). Whole tone scales or microtones are also not uncommon concepts in world music. Do we have instruments from that time/location?
