@theharrisonpro2 It's called hoovering. It is a form of emotional abuse that occurs when someone feels threatened by another person withdrawing from or leaving a relationship. Most often presented by people with a personality disorder like narcissism.

@Ryan_Daigler I often defer to pickier people because I am easy going and don't want to fight. I've noticed that the rare occasion I do feel a firm preference, there is not only zero deference, but actual frustration with me wanting to provide input.

Narcissists can dish it out, but they can’t take it. They’ll attack you first and when you respond with a retort they weren’t expecting, they act like you are the aggressor. 🙄

@DAVIDRA81650411 @loser_wizard @POTUS I don’t know any savings accounts that offer a 9+% interest rate… I got a massive raise this year and my income goes about the same distance as it did 2 years ago due to record inflation

When I came into office, we had a lot of work to do. But on my watch, we went from losing jobs to creating them. And we’re down to one of the lowest unemployment rates in 50 years.

@loser_wizard @POTUS Prices are up over 9%, savings rates are up 2%. That's not a net gain, unless you can somehow never spend money on household goods.

@LanaS72045350 @Ryan_Daigler I second Grey Rocking. Be kind, but distant/unavailable. Focus on your internal well-being, while brushing off their external projections. They will keep cycling through the above pattern to regain control. Their insecurities are their responsibility, not yours.

@Ryan_Daigler I’m going through this at work and only now seeing it for what it is. Is it worth leaving an otherwise perfect job you love for a narc who’s a little above you but not your boss. I feel like they are everywhere at least 1?

#TraumaBonding is when a person becomes “addicted” to an abuser as a result of gradually increasing abuse followed by intermittent love or reward. This stress/reward treatment causes a strong dopamine response for the love/reward causing a powerful addiction to the abuser.
