@YodasMyDad @paulsterling My comments about it becoming a better development experience came from various package developers - who have been upgrade and released for 14 - telling me it was. Perhaps they would have commented themselves were it not for the mass Xodus.

@YodasMyDad @paulsterling However you are wrong to assume that I was toeing the party line. I don't get told what to say by HQ, and were that ever to happen I trust I have the integrity to say nothing instead of something that I don't believe.

Just watched the unboxing #umbraco 15 video. Was hoping it would show the back office customisation has been simplified. It hasn't. Lotte does a fantastic job in the video, but simple examples look insanely verbose and complicated, and the amount of files it generates to get a plugin working 🤦‍♂️

@paulsterling @YodasMyDad I was just worried that Lee thought you couldn’t use your own C# “behind” extensions. The new template in v15 I hope will help folks get started as handles the boilerplate stuff. Appreciate we are missing docs for the template tho, am working on it: next week 🤞

@paulsterling @YodasMyDad Oh I completely agree it’s a steeper learning curve than AngularJS was, you are not alone! I think it’s harder to build v simple things but it will be much easier to build and maintain more complex stuff. Typescript is growing on me!

@YodasMyDad Hey Lee! What am I missing … in v13 I’d use a package manifest file, html and angular JS to interact with my custom C# to build extensions. In v15 I can use a Umbraco package json file and a web component to interact with my custom C#. How were you building in v13?

@AaronSadlerUK The most insane thing I only just found out. If you want to extend the back office of Umbraco (A .NET CMS) with .Net. You have to pay to use the UI builder, but if you want to extend the back office of a .Net CMS with JavaScript... It's free 🤷‍♂️ Makes absolutely zero sense
