Been contemplating why I’m so emotional despite saying that I am okay with their decision and I think these 3 clips just about sums it up. From seeing them try and navigate the showbiz industry together from HiH to now making big decisions in such a pivotal time in their career, there’s overwhelming pride with how they have matured. They made this decision but it doesn’t mean that this is easy for them and yet they were able to remain focused on their dreams and chose themselves over easy fame and clout. Them wanting to be seen as Donny and Belle and not just DonBelle is something that they shouldnt even have to ask. I’m glad that this was a mutual decision and that their admiration for each other is still there — with Belle’s respect for Donny and Donny looking up to Belle. How lucky are we that from all the loveteams who parted ways, we supported the one loveteam who chose to pause not because they had a falling out but because they want to give each other room to grow and become better people? I appreciate how they chose to tell their fans instead of leaving them hanging. They emphasised that there were no regrets and that they would not have done this past years any other way so we shouldn’t feel like anything is wasted. Pausing doesn’t always mean giving up, sometimes it means saving each other from destruction and not letting circumstances ruin your precious memories and relationship. Have yet to fully process everything but the assurance they gave from their announcement to PBT to now, “this family will always stay” is consistent. More than their personal reasons, they’re obviously doing this for their growth as actors outside the loveteam DonBelle.
